At Bendigo Guided Tours, we want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable joining our experiences. We understand that every guest has different needs, and we do our best to make our tours as inclusive and accessible as possible.
Physical Accessibility
- Walking tours: Most of our walking tours are on flat, paved paths through Bendigo’s CBD. Some areas may include uneven surfaces, laneways, or heritage buildings with steps. We adapt routes wherever possible to suit the group.
- Mobility aids: Guests using mobility aids such as walking frames or small scooters are welcome. Please let us know in advance so we can plan the best route.
- Portable step: A portable step is available to assist with entering and exiting vehicles on our Gold Rush Tour.
- Flexible pacing: We keep group sizes small so we can adjust the pace, add rest breaks, or modify the route to suit the needs of our guests.
Tours by Vehicle
- Our touring vehicle is kept in immaculate condition and includes air-conditioning and bottled water. Guests with limited mobility are assisted into and out of the vehicle.
- We can adjust itineraries to reduce time spent travelling and increase comfort for those who prefer shorter walking components.
Dietary Requirements
- All food-based tours can be tailored for dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other medical or religious needs. Please advise us when booking so venues can prepare.
Communication & Support
- Our guides adapt storytelling and language to suit the group. We are happy to use simpler language for guests with limited English or adjust stories where appropriate for cultural or religious sensitivities.
- We welcome carers, support workers, and companions on our tours. Concessions may be available.
Booking & Payment
- We provide a range of booking and payment options, including offline bookings for those who prefer to arrange tours over the phone or via email rather than online.
- Gift vouchers are available and can be purchased in multiple formats.
Families & Children
- We hold a current Working With Children Check and First Aid Certificate.
- Children are welcome on most tours. Please check age suitability on each tour page.
Weather & Comfort
- Our tours operate in all weather conditions. Umbrellas are provided if it rains, and shade or indoor breaks are included on hot days.
- Comfortable walking shoes, a hat, and a water bottle are recommended for walking tours.
