What we are doing

• Prioritising walking tours, which now represent approximately 90% of our tour offerings.
• Planning compact and efficient routes to reduce unnecessary travel.
• Encouraging guests to travel to Bendigo by train.
• Offering complimentary Bendigo Station transfers on selected tours to support public transport use.
• Travelling to tour starting points by electric bike whenever practical.
• Partnering with locally owned restaurants, bars, producers and suppliers.
• Choosing venues that use local and seasonal ingredients, helping reduce food miles.
• Directing our tour expenditure into Bendigo businesses and the local economy.
• Providing booking confirmations, itineraries, guest information and post-tour photographs digitally to reduce paper use.
• Providing guests with a Local Tips guide that encourages them to support additional Bendigo cafés, shops and attractions.
• Working with community-focused organisations such as PepperGreen Farm, a social enterprise supporting people with disability.
• Respectfully acknowledging Dja Dja Wurrung Country and sharing Bendigo’s cultural stories with care and accuracy.
• Maintaining small group sizes to provide responsible, respectful and manageable visitor experiences.
• Regularly reviewing our operations and partnerships to identify further improvements.
