As Australia’s first UNESCO Creative City and Region of Gastronomy, Bendigo shines in winter. Grand European-inspired streetscapes, welcoming venues and rich seasonal flavours combine to create the perfect afternoon out with friends, family or fellow food lovers.

Your journey begins at the Bendigo Piazza before setting off on a relaxed guided walk through the heart of the city. Along the way, you’ll discover Bendigo’s fascinating history while visiting some of the city’s favourite food and drink destinations.

At Wine Bank on View, enjoy a steaming glass of mulled wine paired with a soul-warming bowl of soup. Continue to the acclaimed Alium Dining for a seasonal winter cocktail and chef-prepared canapés showcasing local produce. Wander through Bendigo’s beautiful city centre to the vibrant Dispensary Bar & Diner, where a hot buttered rum and hearty winter treat await. Your afternoon concludes at Bendigo Brewing, where you’ll choose between a local stout, warming ale or regional winter red, served alongside wood-fired pizza.

Operating on selected Saturdays for a limited seven-week season from 18 July to 29 August, this intimate experience is designed for guests who enjoy great food, local stories and discovering destinations through their flavours.

With a maximum of just 12 guests, you’ll enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, attentive hospitality and the opportunity to experience Bendigo at its winter best.

Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available with advance notice, and complimentary station transfers are available for guests arriving by train.
